Overview: The brief objectives were to design, model and texture a small shop front that would fit into stylised world. Further objectives were to model the full height of the shop, part of the interior and produce two scenes containing the shop in day and night time. The budget was 15,000 triangles, the model I have created has 10,857 triangles fully modelled in 3DSMax and textured using photoshop and Substance Painter. I have also used zbrush to sculpt details following by xnormal to bake all the maps. I have used all four 1024x1024 maps with light information painted directly onto the texture sheet and five Normal maps created, one map per object.

Research/ Design:I have created three different moodboards which contained colour ideas and references, the different examples of art styles and a general moodboard that contained all sorts of objects.
I then started to create simple silhouette and didnt want to spend too long on this stage, but it was important to get enough detail to start modeling as I thought that it would be helpful to have that extra time in case of any unplanned tasks and to fully polish the model. The next stage was development of the chosen sillhouettes and detailed designs followed by other designs from all angles and colour experimentation to a fnished, ready to model final line drawing.

Final Renders:

In conclusion I am very pleased with how the project turned out, not only in the final model but how well organised and confident I kept myself during this short and dense project. I managed to complete all of the stretch goals included in the brief and I am very happy with how much this small project has taught me with it being my first use of ZBrush and Substance Painter. Throughout the project I didn't get blocked on small issues and managed to stay on schedule. If I were to spend more time on the project, I  would work on the styling of the textures to create a stronger theme to more closely match that of the atmospheric voodoo imagery I intended, primarily focusing on the colour scheme.
