Retro Robot

I started the week with feedback on my early model, this early model had a topological mistake. With this feedback I used the line tool and my reference image to form a rough shape of the body, then by selecting particular vertices and using Bezier curves, I could achieve the correct shape. I then used the Lathe modifier to form a solid shape.

Modelling went smoothly up until I had to model the head, I was pushed back on my schedule creating a model that conforms to the concepts. At this point, there wasn't much stress and this wouldn't cause too much of a delay. Throughout the week, I received various comments and advice helping me to improve the topology of the head. Throughout the modelling phase, I kept how the robot was designed to move in mind, this was going to help me during the rigging phase.

Unwrapping the model was plain and simple although it was quite difficult to fit the entire unwrap on only one 1024x1024 sheet but I thought it came out quite successfully.
